Unsere 5. Meisterschaftsrunde führte uns nach Oberdorf, Basel Land. Leider nahmen nicht alle Teammitglieder die korrekte Ausfahrt, so dass es zu Verspätungen kam und wir bereits mental nicht parat waren. Unser erster Gegner hiess Leimental, den wir bereits von der Hinrunde kannten. Ursina, unser Neuzuzug aus Wien, kamen zu ihrem ersten Einsatz im Hot Chilis Dress. Wir kamen nicht richtig ins Spiel, konnten unser bestes Unihockey nicht abrufen und lagen bis zur Pause mit 3 Toren im Rückstand. Nach der Pause ging das Spiel leider weiter wie es vor der Pause aufgehört hatte. Yoli schoss noch das Ehrentor so dass das Spiel mit 5:1 verloren ging. Während der Pause konnten wir unseren Kopf lüften und uns auf das zweite Spiel vorbereiten.


A game against the leader of the group, Zürich GC. Hot Chilis are missing some of their offensive power so scoring is going to be tough against the group leader.
GC scores the first goal after nice pass into the box. Second goal, shot from a distance and again GC had two players in the box. Their offence plays deep in Chilis zone. This is something we have to watch out. It can be seen that often when the game goes into the corners there seems to be someone free in front of Chilis goal.
In the middle of the first period Chilis clear dangerous 2-1 situation on front of their goal. But soon the numbers are 3-0 by unfortunate Chili’s own goal.
Chilis call for a timeout after 4-0 situation. Now is the time to change the strategy. Chilis start strong after the timeout. Control of the game has clearly shifted. Chilis generate more scoring opportunities from blocked passes and counter attacks. Time out definitely woke up the team. Now shots are roughly even so second period is going to be a game of cathing up. Lets see who will be the hottest Chilis to score the first goal for the team.

In the second period Chilis are really pushing and have found the formula to generate scoring chances. 8 minutes has played in second period when Yoli makes this soup hotter by scoring the opening goal. And again minute later Yoli scores second goal for the team. Chilis are on fire now. Chilis are generating more opportunities but the goalie in the other end holds. This is going to be exiting match till the end. 30 seconds left in the game and accurate shot hits Chilis goal. The game is 5-2 and those are the numbers hold until end of the game. The rally that Chilis got going after the time out was spicy but not enough this time. When looking at the numbers the goals were 0-4 before the time out and 2-1 after. Not bad against the team that has not lost a single game in this season.
